Mirror an iPhone to a Samsung TV
Most Samsung TVs from 2018 and newer have AirPlay 2 built in, so an iPhone or iPad can mirror to them without any app.
This guide uses the mirroring built into your phone. Phone browsers cannot share the screen, so MHL Mirroring is not needed here.
Step by step
Turn on AirPlay on the TV
On the TV open Settings > General > Apple AirPlay Settings and switch AirPlay on.
Open Control Center
On the iPhone swipe down from the top-right corner.
Tap Screen Mirroring
Tap the Screen Mirroring button and choose your Samsung TV.
Enter the code
The first time, type the code shown on the TV into the iPhone.
Stop mirroring
Open Control Center again, tap Screen Mirroring and choose Stop Mirroring.
If it does not work
- TV not listed: both must be on the same Wi-Fi, and AirPlay must be on in the TV settings.
- Older Samsung TV: without AirPlay, mirror from a computer with MHL Mirroring instead.
Mirror straight from your browser
Try MHL Mirroring on your own screens
Open the receiver on the TV, the sender on your computer, and connect with a 6-digit code. Free, peer-to-peer, nothing to install.
