Mirror an iPhone to Roku

Many Roku 4K players and Roku TVs support AirPlay, so an iPhone can mirror to them without extra apps.

This guide uses the mirroring built into your phone. Phone browsers cannot share the screen, so MHL Mirroring is not needed here.

Step by step

  1. Turn on AirPlay on the Roku

Open Settings > Apple AirPlay and HomeKit on the Roku and switch AirPlay on.

  2. Open Control Center

On the iPhone swipe down from the top-right corner.

  3. Pick the Roku

Tap Screen Mirroring and choose your Roku.

  4. Enter the code

Type the code from the TV the first time, and the iPhone screen appears.

If it does not work

  • No AirPlay menu: your Roku model or software does not support AirPlay; update it or use a computer with MHL Mirroring.
  • Choppy video: move the Roku or router closer, or use a 5 GHz network.

Mirror straight from your browser

Try MHL Mirroring on your own screens

Open the receiver on the TV, the sender on your computer, and connect with a 6-digit code. Free, peer-to-peer, nothing to install.
