Send files while mirroring
While you mirror to a computer, you can also send it files. They travel directly between the two devices over the same connection as the video.
Step by step
Start mirroring to a computer
In the sender choose Windows, Mac, Chromebook, Linux as the target and connect as usual.
Press Share file
Once connected, the Share file button becomes active. Pick a file.
Send it
Check the name and size, then press Send. A progress bar shows the transfer.
Save it on the receiver
The receiver shows "File received" with a Save button. Press Save to download it.
If it does not work
- Share file is missing: it only appears when the target in Step 1 is a computer.
- Transfer fails: keep both pages open until the file is delivered.
Mirror straight from your browser
Try MHL Mirroring on your own screens
Open the receiver on the TV, the sender on your computer, and connect with a 6-digit code. Free, peer-to-peer, nothing to install.
